Since September 2011, the Learn to Skate and Basic Skills program have been managed by The Skating Club of Boston Skating Academy, under the direction of Karen Bressler, Skating Director at the Foxboro campus. The Skating Academy offers small group skating lessons for beginners and skaters of every age and every level.

Basic Skills Class:
Ages 4 and up
Learn to Skate, improve the basics, or learn hockey skills. Includes: Snowplow Sam, Basic 1-8, Freeskate 1-6
25 minute lesson, 25 minute practice

Monday 4:20pm           
Saturday 9:30am
Sunday 9:30am

Bridge Class:
                     Skaters must have passed Basic 4. (Skaters Basic 5 through Preliminary freestyle). Students are assigned to groups based on level. Focus is on stroking and edges, power skating, introductory level ‘moves-in-the-field’, spins and jumps. Students will be evaluated and tested based on U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills curriculum.

Saturday or Sunday
8:05-8:20am off-ice warm up
             8:30-9:20am on-ice,  50 minute lesson
